We will be based in the light and airy St Mark's, the oldest church in Surbiton, which has recently been restored and modernised. It is within easy walking distance of the many local cafes and interesting shops.

This is the fifth Hidden Gems trip and the twentieth year that we have been writing songs together. So, as well as some new songs, we are taking this opportunity to revive and re-imagine some of our old favourites in an exciting final concert, which will also feature local choir Treble Clef and the extraordinary multi-instrumentalist Richie Hart.

Travel to Surbiton  - easily accessible by road or train. If you arrive by train you will be passing through one of the most remarkable examples of Art Deco architecture in the country. We may even have a song about it!

Accommodation - the area is well served with places to stay and we have some suggestions to help you find somewhere suitable.

​

Meals - our singing venue is centrally located within easy reach of many cafes and restaurants.

There will be six rousing singing sessions spread over the weekend, to learn the arrangements and help establish good vocal habits and singing technique. Refreshments will be provided during the breaks.

There will be two online teaching sessions in advance of the weekend, to introduce the material.

There will also be a unique Hidden Gems walking tour taking in Surbiton, Kingston and the river; and lots of time to explore the area.  We hope you will come to see leafy suburbia in a whole new light!
